From Crash Scenes to Court‑Ready Maps
We build practical training and tools for investigators—by investigators. Here’s the road we’ve traveled and where we’re headed next.
Sworn in as Spartanburg Police Officer
Our founder, Bobby J. Mullinax, was sworn in as a police officer, taking an oath to work to make the world a better and safer place. Early ideals set the stage for a career focused on impact and community service.
Police Academy Graduation
Graduated from the Spartanburg Police Academy, building foundational skills for patrol and enforcement. This step reinforced a commitment to public safety and community impact.
Completed 1 Year as Police Officer
Finished the first year on patrol in the Park Hills/Highland area. Bobby realized he could not change the entire world alone but could make a difference in one street or neighborhood. Like throwing a small pebble into the ocean, he began to see ripples of positive impact.
Became Field Training Officer
After three years, Bobby became a Field Training Officer. By training others and providing them with tools and knowledge, their impact multiplied. The initial pebble became a rock, expanding the ripples of influence.
Transferred to Traffic Division
Assigned to DUI enforcement and collision investigation. This experience sharpened investigative skills and opened pathways for future training and technological innovation in public safety.
WREX Poster Presentation
Presented research on using body camera footage and photogrammetry in crash reconstruction at WREX 2016. This work positioned Bobby at the forefront of modern investigative technology.
Joined SC Criminal Justice Academy
Left Spartanburg PD to become a full-time crash reconstruction instructor at the SC Criminal Justice Academy. Expanding statewide reach increased the size of the rock and amplified ripples of impact across the state.
Published "Silent Witness"
Explored reconstruction techniques using body-worn camera video, advancing the science and sharing knowledge with the wider professional community.
National Conference Presentations
Presented at IPTM (Orlando, FL), SCARS (Mount Pleasant, SC), ARC-CSI (Las Vegas, NV), Pennsylvania State Police Reconstruction Seminar (Gettysburg, PA), and virtually at the Association for Crime Scene Reconstruction. The rock grew larger as Bobby shared expertise nationally.
